Not many years from now, either shredding will become the standard way of deleting data, or storage devices will be such that deleted data cannot be recovered. Later generations will feel surprised listening to past tales of deleted data being "recovered" from hard disks.

America and its gang will be successful in their desperate attempts to bury and even overturn UN's preliminary findings that the West-supported Syrian "rebels" used the nerve agent - sarin gas - against civilians in Syria. America will instead - by hook or by crook - attempt to establish that it's the Syrian government that used chemical weapons.

A good idea that's executed improperly or executed at the wrong time won't die. It'll eventually come back at the right time and in the right form by someone. For it's fundamentally a good idea. Examples include the Newton MessagePad and the Sony Glasstron.
