Genetic engineering of humans will lead to brains and bodies that develop and grow in shorter time, and the age at which a human is generally considered an 'adult' will consequently be lowered by academics and governments around the world.

  1. An addition to the above can be that even without genetic engineering, the age at which a human is considered an 'adult' will come down. This is because of increasing brain power - naturally - and also because of earlier, heavy and increasing exposure to content/information.
